Will my manager give me time off to meet with an EAP Consultant?
Will my manager give me time off to meet with an EAP Consultant?
Many managers will give employees administrative time off for an EAP appointment, but this varies according to departmental needs, so it is best to ask your manager about this. Of course it is up to you to decide if you feel comfortable disclosing your appointment with the EAP. Many people use the same type of leave that is used to attend a doctor's appointment or take time during lunch or other breaks. EAP Consultants will attempt to arrange a convenient appointment time for you during regular business hours.
